The Young Professionals Committee (YPC) functions to serve the MATA in four significant ways:

1. To help foster the professional development of younger MATA members with the guidance of experienced professionals.
2. To provide experienced MATA members with the young professional's perspective.
3. To establish a means of communication and develop a support system among young MATA professionals.
4. To help navigate the transition from being an athletic training student to certified athletic trainer.
