The MATA is proud to present scholarship opportunities for deserving students.   In 2021, the MATA Executive Committee voted to increase its scholarships from $500 to $1000.  We are proud to continue partnerships with three other clinics who provided additional $500.00 scholarships.  These scholarships will be awarded to entry level and certified graduate students who intend to pursue a professional career in athletic training.

Qualified candidates should demonstrate leadership, a desire to be active in the athletic training profession, involved in their community and have achieved academic success.

The MATA is an allied health professional organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of health care for physically active patients through the promotion of professional growth, educational enhancement, as well as, the recognition of the athletic trainer and their value as health care providers.  The recipients of these scholarships should demonstrate similar qualities and interests which will allow them to be successful in the pursuit of a career in athletic training.
