MATA Membership:
I would like to personally thank the membership of the MATA for a very successful Annual Meeting and Clinical Symposium at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Rochester, MN on May 18 th and 19 th presented by the Concussion Clinic at Bethesda Hospital and Minnesota Sports Medicine! The theme of this year’s symposium was “General Medical Conditions in an Athletic Population.” This years meeting included a Friday evening workshop on Concussion Evaluation and Management presented by the professional staff at the Concussion Clinic at Bethesda Hospital. The workshop proved to be an outstanding success and we look forward to offering this option to our membership in 2008! The Saturday educational portion of our meeting was also excellent and I would like to thank ALL of our speakers for all the time and energy they placed in presenting to our membership!
At the business meeting the membership elected Paul Bruning our new State Representative to GLATA, Chris Huot our new Treasurer and re-elected Brian Zeller as Vice-President. We look forward to having these two new members on the Executive Committee and assisting the organization as it continues to build for the future! The Executive Committee and the membership also would like to sincerely thank Neal Dutton, outgoing State Representative to GLATA, and Ronda Peterson, outgoing Treasurer, for their leadership and devotion to the MATA during their tenure on the committee. We wish you both the best in all your future endeavors!!
During the MATA Annual Meeting the membership passed all recommended changes to the MATA Constitution as presented by the MATA Executive Committee. To see these changes please log onto www.mnata.com to review. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact Mike Doyle at mdoyle@alexortho.com.
We would also like to thank the sponsors for this year’s event. Without the support of these exceptional organizations/companies this meeting could not happen. When giving the opportunity, please take the time to personally thank each of the following MATA Sponsors:
