MATA Annual Meeting & Symposium

MATA Membership:

 

I would like to personally thank the membership of the MATA for a very successful Annual Meeting and Clinical Symposium at St. Cloud State University on May 6 th! Approximately 137 individuals attended this year's symposium, making it one of the highest attended meetings ever! The theme of this year’s symposium was “Prevention of Athletic Related Injuries and Conditions.” The educational portion of our meeting was outstanding and I would like to thank the following speakers for all the time and energy they placed in presenting to our membership!

At the business meeting the membership elected Chris Gebeck our new President-Elect and Megan Streveler our new Secretary. We look forward to having these two new members on the Executive Committee and assisting the organization as it continues to build for the future! The Executive Committee and the membership also would like to sincerely thank Paul Bruning, outgoing President, and Amy Hamilton, outgoing Secretary, for their leadership and devotion to the MATA during their tenure on the committee. We wish you both the best in all your future endeavors!!

 

Paul Cassidy, MATA Lobbyist, was also present at the business meeting and provided a short presentation of what is going on at the Capital and what his role is in protecting the interests of the MATA at this level.
