The 12th Annual MATA Golf Tournament and Dinner was held at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids, Minnesota on June 29th, 2004. This year’s event proved to be as enjoyable as the weather was beautiful with a total of 115 golfers teeing it up in support of the MATA.
This year each golfer received a dozen Nike Power Distance golf balls with the MATA logo on each ball just for playing in the event. However, once the golf started, groups were playing to win golf certificates from the Bunker Hills Pro Shop. Six teams were recognized for their play in this year’s tournament along with individual winners of course events such as the longest drive, most accurate drive, longest putt and closest to the pin. Once again, proceeds from this tournament will be used not only to support the mission and goals of the MATA, but will also allow the MATA to donate to the Josh Mathwig Fund. In the past twelve years of this tournament over $30,000 has been provided to the MATA and over $4,000 to non-profit organizations or individuals. Thank you all for this support!
