Dear Minnesota Athletic Trainers Association Members: We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to attend the Wisconsin Athletic Trainers’ Association’s Annual Meeting and Symposium being held in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, April 22-24, 2010. With Eau Claire being in close proximity to Minnesota and especially the Twin Cities, we would like to extend this invitation to our athletic training neighbors to the west. We are excited to offer a varied educational program with several opportunities for hands-on experience. We are especially pleased to have Pat Sexton as our keynote speaker. Dear Athletic Trainer, The National Athletic Trainers’ Association has commissioned the Athletic Training Program at A.T. Still University to conduct a study to assess student-athlete access to athletic training services in secondary schools. The “National Sports Safety in Secondary Schools Benchmark™ (N4SB)” study is an important first step in identifying how the health and safety of student-athletes can be improved. We invite you to participate in this short survey, which is being distributed to athletic trainers across all 50 states and the District of Columbia. MATA Nominations are now Open
Attention MATA Members: If you are interested in getting involved in the MATA, now is the opportunity. The MATA is accepting nominations for the following Executive Committee positions:
• President-Elect • Secretary
If you interested in any of the positions, you may contact any of the Executive Committee members to learn more about each position. Job descriptions for committee positions can be viewed at the MATA website (by-laws section).

The acceptance of nominations will close on March 19th, 2010. Elections will be conducted on–line. After nominations are submitted, biographies of each of the candidates will be available for membership viewing. Voting will be open 6 weeks prior to the State Meeting for a total of 4 weeks.
Election results will be made available to the membership prior to the 2010 MATA State Meeting & Symposium in Mankato, MN, which will be held on May 14th–15th, 2010. |

Dear GLATA Members:
As many of you are aware, the GLATA Executive Board charged a task force with re-writing the associations Constitution and Bylaws. After about 2 years of work, we are ready to present the new Bylaws to the association. In order for the new Bylaws to be adopted, the membership will vote on this on March 12, 2010 at the GLATA Annual Winter Business Meeting. I urge your attendance at this event.

The Minnesota Athletic Trainers' Association Annual Meeting and Symposium will be held May 14th and 15th at Minnesota State University Mankato. This year's theme will be, "More Than A Feeling: Science and Evidence of Sports Medicine". As part of the symposium, we are seeking case study submissions to be presented during one of the lecture periods.
